Year 11 Students Celebrate Amazing Results!
This morning students and staff at Great Sankey High School celebrated fantastic Year 11 results, including some of the school’s best GCSE results for several years.
GCSE results in all core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science achieved well above the national average yet again and there were significant improvements in subjects such as Business Studies, Statistics, Sport Studies, Psychology, Spanish, History, Geography, Religious Studies and Drama.
Some notable achievements were;

- Joshua: 9 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8
- Alfie: 8 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s
- Lok Ch: 8 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s
- Chidera: 8 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8
- Cheuk Yan: 7 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s
- Jonah: 1 Grade 9, 7 Grade 8s
- Georgina: 4 Grade 9s, 6 Grade 8s
- Yat Yu: 3 Grade 9s, 6 Grade 8s
- Harriet: 2 Grade 9s, 6 Grade 8s
- Tayla: 2 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s
- Faith: 4 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s
- Emma: 4 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s
Gary Evans, Headteacher, said, “We are delighted that so many families joined us this morning to celebrate the successes of the Class of 2025! There has been a really lovely feeling this morning in school and to see so many students get the grades they needed for whatever lies next has been brilliant.
