This week, Great Sankey High School proudly took to the stage with a spectacular production of Annie, marking months of preparation, dedication, and teamwork. From the very first rehearsal to the final curtain call, this performance has been a true testament to the incredible talent and commitment within our school community.

 

Productions like Annie are never just about what happens on stage. Behind every song, dance, and scene is a dedicated team of students and staff working tirelessly to bring the magic to life. The cast and band have spent countless hours practising their lines, perfecting choreography, and mastering their musical performances. But just as vital are the students who work backstage, managing lighting, sound, and props, painting backdrops, and ensuring every detail is just right. Their careful attention creates the seamless experience that audiences enjoy.

 

Our staff have also given an extraordinary amount of their time and energy. From directing rehearsals to coordinating stage management, from promoting the show and selling tickets to arranging prizes for the raffle and running refreshments, they have worked tirelessly to make the production a reality. Every pound raised from programmes, refreshments, and ticket sales will go back into supporting next year’s show, helping to continue this incredible tradition.

The community support has been phenomenal. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, cheered from the audience, and celebrated the hard work of our students. Your enthusiasm and encouragement mean the world to the performers and the school as a whole. A special thank you also goes to groups such as FoSPA, whose continued support helps make shows like this possible.
