The School summer camp is traditionally run at the end of Year 7 and is open to all Year 7 students. The Summer camp is chance to experience the outdoors, develop existing friendships and create new friendships with students outside of their form.

A lot of the students have never experienced camping in tents, and it is a fantastic opportunity for them to learn new skills such as, climbing, abseiling, kayaking and bush craft, whilst taking responsibility for themselves away from the comforts of home. The camp is designed to increase their ability to work as part of a team, whilst developing their leadership qualities in a safe environment, through the activities.

The location of the Summer camp is The Sychpwll Centre, SY22 6SH. This is the same location as we used in previous years, and it worked brilliantly. It is situated in the countryside, near to the outdoor climbing facilities and close to lake Vyrnwy for the water activities.
