Community

At Great Sankey High School we value our community be it the school community, the local community of Great Sankey or the global community. We work closely with primary schools, secondary schools and Universities to ensure the highest quality learning for our students and students across the locality and beyond being partnered with South Peninsula School in South Africa and Xian Middle School in China we are also part of the Merseyside ELP Comenius project with schools in Sweden.

We work with all of our partner schools to be in a position to ensure smooth transition for our children from primary to secondary education and offer advice for all parents in our community on issues such as childcare arrangements, parenting support and concerns specific to individual families. We have close relationships with our local children�s centres and support organisations to help deliver this agenda.

We have a thriving community learning programme that takes place on Monday evenings at the school offering classes in Cookery, Chinese, Holistic Therapies, ICT, Jewellery Making, First Aid, Train to be a Teaching Assistant etc. For more information see the documents community section.

We are also run a Business Breakfast
